Farnam Companies, Inc. Teams with Horse Shows in the Sun (HITS) and the Marshall & Sterling League Events
Farnam Companies, Inc. will serve as a new sponsor of several Horse Shows in the Sun (HITS) and Marshall & Sterling League shows for the 2005 season. The company has been designated the title sponsor of the Farnam Adult Hunter Division of the M&S League held at the following HITS shows: six-week Indio Desert Circuit; seven-week Ocala Winter Circuit; six-week Arizona Winter Circuit; six-week HITS Culpeper Circuit; and the seven-week HITS-on-the Hudson Circuit. Farnam has also been named as the title sponsor of the Marshall & Sterling Adult Hunter Division Finals in Sept. 2005, as well as the over 550 qualifying events across the country.
“We’re proud to align our company and products with these two reputable organizations, HITS and the Marshall & Sterling League. Their shows and events reach a key segment of amateur and professional competitors who look to our fly control, deworming, and Vetrolin® grooming products to benefit their horses,” said Chris Jacobi, president of Farnam’s Horse Products Division. “We plan to launch a batch of exciting new horse products in 2005, and the visibility provided by these shows across the country will be a strong component of our marketing efforts. We will also use this opportunity to continue branding our currently available product lines.”
As part of the agreement, Farnam will provide additional awards to winners of the Farnam Adult Hunter Division, and will participate in presenting these prizes.
“We wish all the exhibitors a successful and enjoyable show season at this year’s HITS events,” said Jeannie Miller, president of Farnam’s Equine Pharmaceutical division, which provides effective and trusted deworming products to the horse community.
“We are pleased to welcome Farnam as a title sponsor of our Adult Hunter Division. Historically, the company has developed innovative products for horse owners and it continues to be a leader in supporting the performance horse community,” said Thomas Struzzieri, founder and president of HITS.
HITS is a special events management company primarily focused on producing hunter/jumper horse shows. Based in Saugerties, New York, the organization produced its first horse show circuit in Gainesville, Florida in 1982. Since that time, HITS has grown into a nationwide company, producing hunter/jumper shows in California, Florida, Arizona, New York, and Virginia.
Since 1991, the Marshall & Sterling League has strived to encourage and enhance the competition level of Children’s and Adult Amateur Hunter and Jumper riders by providing the opportunity to qualify for a prestigious National Finals Competition. The League has grown from 10 member shows and approximately 100 riders in 1991, to more than 450 horse shows and more than 3,500 riders in 2003. With the introduction of the National Indoor Finals, the League is projected to grow to 1,000 member events and 7,500 members in 2005.
