Supracor Cool Grip Dressage Pad
Horse Tack - Saddle Pads
The Supracor Cool Grip Dressage Pad provides air circulation & heat dispersal. The flexible honeycomb material provides unprecedented shock absorbing properties. Features an anatomically correct top line, with ample wither clearance, beneficial for both average and high-withered breeds. The 1/2" thick profile provides optimal pressure management while maintaining very close contact with the horse.
This optional quilted cover fits the Dressage version of the cool grip saddle pad. Made from high quality cotton in a customized quilted pattern. Breathable wool on the underside works to promote ventilation. Machine washable.
Supracor is an engineered materials company that manufactures flexible, fusion-bonded honeycomb, a revolutionary technology incorporating high-performance thermoplastic materials for shock absorption, cushioning and acoustic applications. The company was founded in 1982 as a research effort to develop an aerospace honeycomb free from traditional limitations and offering new and enhanced characteristics.
Aerospace honeycomb is a structural product whose optimum strength to weight ratio contributed directly to evolutionary construction of air and spacecraft. Aerospace honeycomb made from rigid materials such as aramid fiber (Nomex®), fiberglass, and aluminum is characterized by alternating single- and double-walled cells which enable the structure to be highly resilient and lightweight.
The applications of aerospace honeycomb made from rigid materials are limited, however, because its rigidity makes it unable to recover once it has been impacted or crushed. Supracor's objective was to develop a honeycomb core with the same characteristics of aerospace honeycomb, but with the additional advantage of "memory" or recovery upon impact. The new, proprietary process developed to produce thermoplastic honeycomb is a form of fusion-bonding which requires no adhesives or solvents, thereby further reinforcing the core matrix and adding more resilience to the product.
