Candidates Wanted for Laminitis Drug Treatment Research

Charles Owen, an independent equine researcher that has been researching laminitis for 20 years is working on a new drug treatment for horses suffering from laminitis. The drug is currently used for humans and is approved by the FDA with no known side effects.
Some testing on horses with laminitis has already been performed, with very positive results.

Mr. Owen's proposed study is being supported by Dr. Wayne McIlwraith of Colorado State University, and he grant application is currently being considered by the Grayson-Jockey Club Research Foundation.
