Outback Trading Company Launches New Straw Hat Line

Equine Resources International

Oxford, PA (February 28, 2005)—Just in time for the spring and summer months, Outback Trading Company has introduced their line of straw and fabric hats. Made with the same quality care of their traditional line of hats, these fashion-conscious straw and fabric hats offer a comfortable, casual option for milder weather.

Outback crafts their hats with timeless shapes and trendy details, which give them universal appeal. The ventilation of straw and the soft, lightness of fabric hats make these designs the perfect choice for escaping the hot summer sun.

“We design our hats to be both fashionable and functional,” said Wilson King, President of Outback Trading Company. “For customers interested in a great, up-to-the-minute look, our hats offer a simple way to update any outfit.”

Whether you like a little glam on your straw hat in the form of a sparkling hat band, or if you prefer the more natural style of wooden beads or leather bands, there is a hat for you in the new line. The Cowgirl Glitter hat dazzles in a variety of bright colors with a matching hatband. Available in shantung, it has a wired brim which allows the wearer to shape the hat to their liking. Meanwhile, the Cowgirl’s Halo hat is a traditional western shape done in a variety of pretty colors, except this style is tricked out with matching leather hatbands and tiny wooden beads.

For the cowboy in all of us, Outback’s line of “Gold” straw hats is sure to please. The Gambler’s Gold is a truly unique weave pattern and offers a 24-karat look with its rich golden tone. The Jumbuck Gold’s innovative texture and lightweight design is the perfect portable shade. The Renegade Gold features a taller crown style that’s sure to be a “Most Wanted” look.

For those who prefer fabric hats, Outback has an array of canvas and oilskin hats as well. The Canvas River Guide with Mesh features an open air crown to keep the head cool and wide brim to keep sun out. Like all of Outback’s fabric hats it has a chincord to keep the hat secure in breezy conditions. The River Guide also comes in all canvas or oilskin. Both have screened eyelets for maximum ventilation and the oilskin model features a snap-up brim option.

Outback’s popular Kodiak hat is also available in all canvas, canvas with a mesh crown and oilskin. One version of the Canvas Kodiak comes in natural-colored cotton, while the other comes with a white mesh, open crown. The wide brims offer sun protection for your face and neck. The Oilskin Kodiak styles also come with mesh crowns, chincords and in a variety of earth-toned colors.

For the stow and go traveler, Outback has just the hats for you. The Willis with Packable Mesh is the perfect town and country hat with a shape-retaining mesh crown. The Bushwacker with Mesh, with its new packable mesh crown, is an outdoor adventure hat that packs and goes anywhere. Its cousin, the Canvas Bushwacker is an expedition style hat with screened eyelets. It features a marine-style chincord that secures at the back of the head and under the chin for the ultimate stay-put hat.
