The Rider’s Edge is one of the newest corporate sponsors of the National Reining Horse Association and is the Official Equine and Human Chiropractor of the NRHA. It’s headed by Dr. Robert Dana, who is a Certified Chiropractic Sports Practitioner through the American Board of Chiropractic Sports Physicians and is certified in equine chiropractic through American Veterinary Chiropractic Association.
“I show reiners,” said Dr. Dana. “I want to give back to the horse discipline that allows me to enjoy my hobby, and my sponsorship with the NRHA allows me to do this.”
The full-service chiropractic facility specializes in performance chiropractics for the horse and rider.
“We are fortunate to be able to offer quality, certified chiropractic services to our membership through The Rider’s Edge,” said Dan Wall, Executive Director of NRHA.
The Rider’s Edge promotes natural health through joint adjustments in the body. They use chiropractic procedures to remove interference in the nervous system, which can be critical in the sport of Reining. If misalignment of the joints is left untreated, it can interfere with the overall performance of the horse or rider, or in some cases, both.
“In a performance horse setting, both the human chiropractor and the equine chiropractor provide the athletes with a conservative form of health care that allows them to reach their highest level of performance,” said Dr. Dana.
The primary purpose of The Rider’s Edge is to remove misalignment of the joints so the equine athlete can perform and function to the best of their ability.
“My sponsorship with the NRHA will give The Rider’s Edge more visibility and name recognition because of the large number of members within the organization,” said Dana. “NRHA is a growing organization. With the growth of the NRHA, its sponsors can serve a larger population due to its expansion.”
