Press Release, Trueman Communications Group

The new Circuit Pro saddle, the newest and top-of –the-line model in Dover’s Circuit Saddle series, was recently put through the paces by a top national show hunter trainer and judge and earned great marks. Dover Saddlery sent the new Circuit Pro saddle, priced under $1200, to trainer Geoff Teall, of Wellington, FL and asked him to apply his saddle standards to the new Circuit Pro.

“I am often asked what a rider should look for when purchasing a saddle,” Teall explained. “Whether the saddle is for a beginner or advanced rider, my response is pretty much the same. A saddle should provide balance, security, and comfort while promoting proper position for the rider. The design and construction should enhance freedom of movement and comfort for the horse, and the saddle should exhibit good workmanship and be made of quality, durable materials.”

When the saddle arrived, Teall noted several exceptional features that were visually evident in the saddle. “I was impressed that a saddle, priced at just over $1000, would have premium oakbark French leather and buffalo seat and knee pads. The overall construction of the saddle was also significant with details such as a nicely padded seat and sculpted knee pads. The quality stitching and workmanship in the Circuit Pro also caught my attention.”

“During the actual test ride phase, I observed some of my students riding the saddle and then I rode it and became a fan. I found it to be very comfortable and it delivered a good deal of security for the rider, perhaps enhanced by the somewhat broader seat and thicker knee pads. The front pencil and rear triangle blocks will also help a rider’s leg stay in the proper position. The slightly wider channel and deeper panels increased the weight bearing area on the horse’s back, advancing comfort and fit for a range of horses.” Teall summed up his assessment, “The new Circuit Pro saddle, with its very affordable price tag, exceeded my expectations.”

The new Circuit Pro is available exclusively at Dover Saddlery in seat sizes 16 ½, 17, 17 ½ and in regular or wide tree. It is also available for trial through Dover’s Test Ride Program.
