New Tropical Rider Breeches Offer Comfort, Function

Horse Tack - Riding Apparel

Tropical Rider, a company long known for providing top quality, high-tech breeches, has announced several new additions to its extensive line of performance riding wear. Available to riders and trainers throughout the country beginning this fall, the innovative styles include the TR SofTrek (shown left) — a high-tech padded tight, as well as a highwaisted show breech called the TR Elite (shown right) and a camel-colored version of the popular Toasties winter breech.

Founded with the dedicated equestrian in mind, Tropical Rider strives to remain on the cutting-edge of breech design, utilizing the latest performance fabrics available in the entire sporting industry.

“We’re constantly on the lookout for new materials that provide real benefits to the serious equestrian,” said Sheree Ganske, CEO of Tropical Rider. “The new garments we’re offering this year continue that tradition by using tough, comfortable fabrics that wear well and look even better!”

Working comfort is a top priority for Tropical Rider’s new TR SofTrek padded tight. It offers the toughest fabric available with strong moisture-wicking capability and lightweight padding in the seat and upper thigh. Perfect for all season riding, the TR SofTrek resists abrasions and keeps riders cool and comfortable by allowing sweat to pass through the garment and evaporate.

Show riders can also benefit from Tropical Rider’s continuous search for up-to-theminute breech technology. The company’s new TR Elite, high-waisted show breech, is a perfect example. It combines fine tailoring with Schoeller® Prestige, four-way stretch woven microfiber for superior moisture-wicking at even the hottest shows and events. In addition, the breech was specially designed with the shapelier equestrian athlete in mind.

In the coming months, the weather is bound to slide into cold temperatures throughout most of the country. When frigid temperatures hit, equestrians can still ride in comfort, wearing Tropical Rider’s popular Toasties breeches. Made of Polartec® Power Stretch® from Malden Mills®, these winter essentials cover the skin with warm, snuggly fleece while still maintaining all the stretch and movement necessary in superior riding clothes. They are topped off with an antimicrobial finish so that they resist the odors so prevalent during necessary barn chores and hard-working off-season training. Tropical Rider now offers Toasties in a camel color as well as black and navy.

“Developments in fabric technology are opening up a whole new world of benefits for the equestrian athlete,” said Ganske. “We’re working hard to find the best new materials and use them to create breeches that work as hard as our clients.”
