On October 28, 2005 at 7:30 p.m. the Washington International Horse Show is offering the opportunity of a lifetime: the chance to win a Mule! Not just any Mule, this one can cover any terrain at an impressive speed, as well as carry hundreds of pounds of equipment. I am referring to the Kawasaki Mule, provided by Gaithersburg Equipment Company. No, this item is not a Japanese hybrid super donkey. A Kawasaki Mule is an off-road, high powered vehicle equipped with headlights, a windshield, and a roll-bar cage (think Hummer meets golf cart). The Mule is the Grand Prize being given away at the Washington International Horse Show’s infamous “Barn Night.”
Barn Night is an evening of excitement, teamwork, and laughter where different barns and groups will compete for prizes by dressing up to show their barn spirit. Groups will compete for top honors in categories such as “Best Group Spirit,” “Largest Group,” “Best Group Essay,” and “Grand Champion.” The winners of each category will receive one Muck Bucket of barn and stable supplies from The Loft at Meadowbrook. This bucket has a value of over $500!
Individual drawings will also take place throughout the evening. Prizes such as a Kiehl’s gift basket, Cheval Chocolat Carousels, Pennfield Feed, WIHS saddle pads, an Equiery gift basket, and riding breeches, courtesy of JPC Equestrian, will be given to those chosen through random drawing. The Grand Prize, the Kawasaki Mule, will be awarded to one barn or group by random drawing as well.
The Equiery, a major sponsor of “Barn Night,” is a free monthly publication in the Maryland area that offers an array of information to horsemen of all disciplines. From services, sales, trainers, association information, breeding facilities, to riding programs, The Equiery addresses all aspects of the equestrian sport. This advertising circular also features a calendar of events that covers current and upcoming months.
“We are happy to work with the Washington International Horse Show! The audience.is made up of people who are in love with horses, and that is what Equiery is all about. The love of horses. Washington's core audience members are Equiery readers and users, as most of them live in the area and are involved in the equestrian community.” For more information on The Equiery, please go to http://www.theequiery.com/.
Come enjoy an evening of teamwork on Friday, October 28, 2005 at “Barn Night” and watch the Gambler’s Choice competition that follows.
This year the Washington International Horse Show is offering an “Anytime Package” ticket deal for $85.00. The “Anytime Package” allows admittance for spectators to all events and performances from Tuesday, October 25th through Sunday, October 30th. The cost of tickets if purchased for each event would total $235.00, at the very least, so this opportunity is a great way to save money while enjoying all that the show has to offer. Also included in the Anytime Package is free admittance into the Starlight Starbright Pony Pavilion which will have a host of activities for families to enjoy on Saturday, October 29th from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
