Devon-Aire Featured in Fitness Magazine - Aegis Captiva Recommended as Most Comfortable Helmet

It’s a rare day when equestrian activities are portrayed in mainstream media, especially as a sport (the horses do all the work, right?). The October issue of Fitness magazine devoted a page called Editor’s Picks: Horseback Riding to the gear required for riding for fitness. They chose Devon-Aire’s Aegis line of helmets, specifically the Captiva, as being the most comfortable with its exclusive Easy-Fit Dial™, and pictured it on both the table of contents and page 24.

“We’re especially proud of inventing the Easy-Fit Dial, as it makes life easier for both retailer with fewer sizes to stock, and our customers, with a custom fit every time,” said Darin deAlvarez, co-vice president. “It really helps with seasonal attire and ladies’ hairstyle changes… in the winter you can loosen it a notch to accommodate ear muffs, and when you change hairstyles you can adjust to your new size with a simple turn.”

The Captiva retails for $59.95, and comes in several gorgeous colors, including the metal-flake red featured in Fitness, plus Royal, Lavender, Sea Foam, Black and Silver. Other Aegis helmets featuring the Easy-Fit Dial include schooling helmets Ussepa for adults, and Junior Pony! the first schooling helmet made just for toddlers. This year, the Aegis line was augmented with three new show helmets, all featuring the Easy-Fit Dial. The Sterling is a traditionally correct low-profile sueded black helmet, the Caladesi Graphite takes the athlete-rider approach with a rubberized shell cleaved by a stainless steel mesh vent, while Show Pony! is a velveteen version of our toddler’s helmet for lead-line classes.
