Grand opening of the Morgan presence at the Kentucky Horse Park
Come be a part of one of the biggest promotions for the Morgan breed! The grand opening of the Morgan presence at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Kentucky, has been scheduled for Saturday, May 1. The joint project of the American Morgan Horse Association and American Morgan Horse Institute will expose the more than 800,000 horse people who visit the park annually a chance to enjoy America’s first breed.
Saturday’s events will include Morgan breed demonstrations and tours of the Morgan exhibit, including the simulators. Be one of the first to ride the simulators, similar to the ones used in the filming of the award-winning film Seabiscuit. They have been designed and built specifically for the Morgan exhibit, one with western tack and the other with English. They will be a great treat for young and old alike. The AMHA and AMHI Board of Directors will be meeting in Lexington for their spring meeting and on hand for the opening.
This event is a perfect chance to bring your family on a vacation that will combine the love and support you feel for the breed, as well as a weekend of learning and fun. You can watch the beautiful Morgan be presented in breed demonstrations and then tour the displays and learn about the strong history of the breed. Displays will showcase the strength and versatility of the breed. All disciplines will be represented, including information. Look for the area you enjoy most, or just be amazed at the way Morgans have excelled in all disciplines.
