Hold your horses! The Virginia Equine Extravaganza® east coast equestrian expo announces plans to move to the fall in 2006. This move, motivated by popular demand from attendees and vendors, will bring this horse expo and trade show back to the Richmond Raceway Complex in Richmond, VA on October 27 - 29, 2006 for the 3rd consecutive year. With attendance at the 2005 show up by a staggering 42% from the first event and vendor sales up over 50%, this 3rd annual Virginia horse expo and trade fair seems to be just what Virginia horse enthusiasts needed! In addition to welcoming thousands of attendees, hundreds of equestrian related vendors and thousands of horse related products and services, this three day all-breed, all-discipline horse expo is one of the year’s most exciting horse happenings in the Mid-Atlantic region. Included in admission is a robust clinic, demonstration and seminar schedule with close to 100 presentations from some of the best known trainers and experts the horse industry has to offer.
“The move to the fall was motivated by several factors, “ said Vicki O'Hara, President of the Equine Extravaganza®. “April was getting pretty crowded with equestrian events. Breeders with working stallions and mares in foal expressed concerns with the April date. And the vendors voiced a vote for the fall because of the increased shopping in the pre-holiday season. We believe the move is a win/win.”
“With the 5th largest horse population in the country, Virginia has responded with overwhelming enthusiasm to the show. We anticipate that 2006 will continue to exceed our expectations with regard to attendance and overall success,” said O’Hara.
