In response to the wildly popular SmartPink™ line, SmartPak Equine is proud to announce the launch of its new SmartBlue™ product line. Proceeds from the net profit of every SmartBlue product sale will be donated to equine aid charities that promote the well being of horses through rescue, rehabilitation, retirement and equine health research. The new SmartBlue products will be available starting mid-March of 2006.
“The popularity of the SmartPink line and the support that it engendered for breast cancer awareness and research throughout the equestrian community was simply astounding,” reflected CEO and president of SmartPak, Paal Gisholt. “We wanted to do more and felt that supporting the charities that help horses lead happy and healthy lives was an equally rewarding choice for our new SmartBlue line.” SmartPak is hoping that the SmartBlue line will mimic the success of their SmartPink line which has contributed over $20,000 to date to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
Similar to the SmartPink line, SmartBlue products include saddle pads, halters, equipment bags, a complete line of all-weather horse clothing and more! All are made from durable Textiline® Ripstop or nylon in a flashy blue plaid design that will compliment every coat color. The SmartBlue product line is made by Kensington Protective Products and is exclusive to SmartPak Equine.
“We are very excited about the new SmartBlue line and the opportunity to support equine aid charities,” said Becky Minard, founder and vice president of marketing for SmartPak. A select group of equine aid charities will be chosen based on their 501(c)(3) status, reputation for ethical conduct, and sound financial and management practices. “Protecting and supporting horses through the combined efforts of rescue, rehabilitation and research is so important and we are proud to give back to the animals that we love. Plus, now my gelding, Westley, has the option of wearing a blanket that doesn’t clash with his chestnut coat or offend his male ego!”
