Ariat Helps Customers Step Into Character With Distressed Finishes For Fall Horse Tack - Cowboy Boots
This year’s fall fashion is a study in age reversal…the
hottest styles look older than most of the people who will buy them. Whether it’s
chemically aged denim or recycled cotton t-shirts, the more seasoned it looks, the more
fashionable it is. Ariat’s newest line of distressed-finish footwear tops the season’s
“must have” list and is the hottest selling items at retail.
Building on the popularity of its classic Western performance boots, Ariat has extended
many of its current performance and western fashion lines with new leather finishes that
look decidedly weathered. Ariat will introduce this fall an expansion of its popular
“rowdy leather family” to include Tan Oiled Rowdy and Terracotta Oiled Rowdy,
available in the new Women’s Heritage Roughstock and Legend, respectively. The
Heritage Stockman, a new women’s style introduced this spring, will be offered in
Driftwood Brown, a “dust” finished leather reminiscent of the Old West.
For the fashion-conscious woman who knows western boots are part of the classic
American wardrobe, Ariat’s signature Distressed Brown and Brown Bomber leathers
bring down-to-earth character to the most urban of looks. The women’s Heritage J-Toe
combines a Brown Bomber foot and Limetta, embroidered leather top melding traditional
Western styling with built-to-last construction. Brown Bomber leather also will be
available in the women’s Manzanita, a D-toe boot sporting intricate cut-out detailing on
the shaft and a scalloped top line. Ariat’s perennial favorite, theFatbaby collection, will
be joined by a new style – the Fatbaby with Saddle Vamp featuring Brown Bomber
leather for fall.
Ariat’s distressed leather gives its men’s Western boots a style boost as well. Launched
this spring, the Flagstaff, an R-toe boot in Distressed Brown featuring Ariat’s patented
ATS® technology, sets the stage for the rollout of Ariat’s distressed leathers for men.
This fall, Ariat will offer its Heritage Lacer in Brown Oiled Rowdy; extend its Heritage
Crepe with the addition of Brown Bomber leather; and, will feature the Heritage
Stockman in Tan Oiled Rowdy.
Ariat’s newest silhouette for men, the Heritage Western J Toe, features a sleeker toe and
will be available in Distressed Brown and Brown Bomber. Two brand new styles for fall,
the men’s Legend and the Rambler, will be available in two versions of worn-looking
leather: Earth and Dust. Ariat’s traditional Heritage Roughstock, a classic rugged boot,
also will be featured in Dust.
“For fall, our concept was to combine the look of well-worn, well-loved boots that have
acquired a wonderful patina that says ‘character and experience’, with our revolutionary
performance technology,” says Lisa Smith, Ariat’s Western Product Manager. “Western
boots are a basic staple of the classic American wardrobe, much like the denim jacket.
Consumers want to look authentic -- as if they’ve cherished these wardrobe items for
years and years. When it comes to giving customers the best-wearing boots constructed
to withstand the rigors in the saddle, as well the rigors of everyday life, our combination
of style, performance, authenticity and value are unsurpassed. That’s what gives the
Ariat brand, and its boots, true character.”
