Horse Tack - Grooming
The COWBOY MAGIC ® Company, manufacturer of the popular line of COWBOY MAGIC® quality concentrated grooming products for horses and their owners, has joined forces with popular clinician and horse trainer Ken McNabb as sponsor of McNabb’s television program, “Discovering the Horseman Within.” The program airs four times weekly on RFD-TV, the 24-hour nationwide network serving the horse industry, the rural lifestyle and agriculture.
McNabb says he considers it a pat on the back to get a company as successful and well known as COWBOY MAGIC® interested in becoming an educational partner of his program.
“I am really excited about this. It means that my program has gained enough recognition to draw the attention of someone like COWBOY MAGIC® founder and CEO Jim Cummings,” says McNabb.
“I believe that my viewers are going to enjoy our relationship with COWBOY MAGIC®,” says McNabb. “One of the things that I have held as a standard for my sponsors is that their product is a product that I do use. My viewers and my customers have come to understand that if they see a company on my show, it’s a product that I do use. Also, the product is backed by a company that will take care of them. Their customer service needs will be met. COWBOY MAGIC® fits those criteria perfectly.”
Cummings sees the partnership as a good fit.
“Ken McNabb is a quality guy, and COWBOY MAGIC® is a quality product,” Cummings says. “Ken and I both have a deep love of God, country, family and the horse. I am sure the best of Ken will rub off on COWBOY MAGIC®, and COWBOY MAGIC® will do all it can to help Ken bring his horsemanship to our customers.”
McNabb says that the reason his show is so popular is because viewers see him work through training sessions with a horse that resembles their own, not a horse that is completely trained and already does everything. Each episode of the program, which celebrates its one-year anniversary on this month, is shot on location at the McNabb family’s ranch in Powell, Wyoming, where he also holds his clinics and programs.
COWBOY MAGIC® commercials will air during each episode of “Discovering the Horseman Within” beginning May 5. The program will air throughout May and June every Monday at 1:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. EST, Friday at 5:00 p.m. EST, and Saturday and Sunday at 1:00 a.m. EST. Programs airing in May and June are:

COWBOY MAGIC® was founded by Jim Cummings in 1995, and its products are currently available in 4,500 retail locations worldwide. The COWBOY MAGIC® line of quality concentrated grooming products, which can be used on both horses and humans, includes ROSEWATER SHAMPOO, DEMINERALIZER CONDITIONER, DETANGLER™ & SHINE, BODYSHINE™, GREENSPOT® REMOVER and SHINE IN YELLOWOUT™. Additional products include DRY SKIN LOTION for hardworking hands and Medicated KRUDBUSTER™ and Medicated RAINROT™ SHAMPOO for horses.
“All Cowboy Magic products, with the exception of KRUDBUSTER™ and RAINROT™ SHAMPOO, are manufactured under FDA cosmetic guidelines,” says Cummings. “As a result, all ingredients are listed on the label, product quality control standards are regulated and manufacturing standards are higher than those required for products manufactured for animal use only. Although it costs more to manufacture and market COWBOY MAGIC® products under these high standards, it ensures that our customers are getting what they expect from the product they are paying for. And because our products are concentrated, they work better, last longer and cost less.”
Medicated KRUDBUSTER™ and Medicated RAINROT™ SHAMPOO are both classified as over-the-counter-drugs and are manufactured and labeled according to FDA OTC guidelines. “Quality standards for these two products are even higher,” says Cummings. “Years of active-ingredient testing are required to validate product effectiveness. Label statements are regulated to ensure that no misleading statements are made, all ingredients are listed on the label and active ingredients are listed separately, declaring both the percentage of active ingredient used and what effect it has.”
