The National High School Rodeo Association has approved Ariat’s ProBaby™, the newest addition to its series of high-performance boots, as acceptable boots to wear in competition. Concluded to be appropriate for western show events, the NHSRA Safety Committee has approved the ProBaby’s smooth crepe sole for wear when on rodeo grounds and on horseback, finding that the sole allows freedom of movement within the stirrup. With the NHSRA approval, ProBaby can be worn during high school rodeo competition in every state and national event sanctioned by the association.

Sporting the same trend-setting look of the Ariat® Fatbaby, the original novelty boot that changed the women’s western industry, ProBaby is an ideal boot for competition. Designed with a smooth crepe sole, providing maximum ease in and out of the stirrup, ProBaby is enhanced by Ariat’s patented ATS™ technology for stability and support. An extended 10” full grain leather upper gives riders the protection, comfort and durability necessary to meet the toughest demands in the saddle.

“ProBaby was designed specifically as a competition-ready boot to meet the safety needs, function and fashion of our female riders. We are pleased that our efforts have been recognized with approval by the National High School Rodeo Association,” says Beth Cross, Ariat’s founder and president.

“It is encouraging that Ariat has recognized the need for safety while creating a boot that appeals to the female riders of the National High School Rodeo Association,” says Jared Higby, NHSRA Marketing Director.

The Spring 2006 line of ProBaby, now available at select Western retailers nationwide, comes in a lush assortment of two-toned colorways that are sure to attract attention. This fall, Ariat raises the bar with the addition of the ProBaby in genuine Full Quill ostrich, giving competitive riders top-of-the-line performance.
