Ariat Takes Popular Fatbaby Style A Step Further

Riding Apparel

Ariat International, Inc., the innovation leader and trend setter in performance equestrian footwear, apparel and accessories announced today that the Fall 2008 season will signal an exciting evolution in the Fatbaby franchise. All new Fatbaby styles, with the exception of Fatbaby Original, will incorporate a smooth, stirrup-friendly Pro Crepe™ sole and ATS® technology to deliver unmatched riding performance. Ariat is able to offer this high performance outsole to customers while keeping the retail on these boots comparable to existing Fatbaby styles. This is yet another example of Ariat’s commitment to deliver quality, performance boots, through a combination of exclusive technology and trend-right designs, unmatched in the marketplace.

“Ariat takes great pride in being the originator of the Fatbaby concept and is proud to continue to make performance improvements and bring fresh designs to this category every season,” said Beth Cross, President and CEO of Ariat International. “The Fall 2008 collection demonstrates Ariat’s passion to stay ahead of the trends and incorporate mainstream fashion influences into our performance boot category.”

Highlights of the collection include:

• Fatbaby Patent – Patent leather is a huge trend. Fatbaby Patent combines a luxurious, suede top with a glossy, patent leather toe. Look for saddle vamp detailing and show stopping color pairings such as hot pink patent with chocolate suede or teal patent with rich, black suede. In stores June 2008.

• Fatbaby Saddle Brights – This season is all about color! Bright jewel tones combine with rich ostrich printed leathers to create maximum impact inside or outside the ring. In stores July 2008.

• Gem Baby Jazz – Bling is big! This suede top boot is punctuated with a distinctive, stylized paisley leather overlay with rhinestone accents. Dramatic color offerings include: bone with grey violet, black with barn red, chocolate with chambray and cognac with blush. In stores May 2008.

• Gem Baby – This second delivery of Gem Baby is a fusion of pearlized, printed leather toes and rich suede tops embellished with rhinestones and rivets. You won’t be missed in these boots! In stores July 2008.
