Horseware does it again!

Horse Care Press Release

At the BETA 2004 Innovation Awards Horseware came out on top again with not one but two of its fabulous products being launched for Autumn 2004. The Rambo Walker Rug was the Winner its category of Horsecare Products and Equipment and the Cheeky Chums Safety Pack was Highly Commended in its section of Safety and Security.

The new Rambo Walker Rug may have an unusual appearance but it is the perfect solution for keeping your horse snug while exercising on a horse walker or during exercise in-hand, such as ride and lead.

The innovative design of the rug means that your horse has the freedom to walk out without suffering from sore shoulders or rug rubs, while retaining important body heat on those cold days.

The Walker is cut away around the shoulder with a front fastening - to prevent it from slipping back - and has cross surcingles to avoid any unnecessary movement.

Originally developed for use on horse walkers, the unique design has also proved popular with competition riders wanting to keep their horses warm while walking them, especially in disciplines like polo and show jumping when a rider may require multiple horses in quick succession.

NEW for Autumn 2004 the Rambo Walker will be available in a Waterproof version.

Cheeky Chums is the new theme across the Rambo Kids range for the coming Autumn season with the characters of Jumping Josie, Galloping Gary and Lazy Lucy featuring across a selection of garments. Horseware thought that these cute characters would help turn safety into fun for Kids.

The Cheeky Chums Safety Pack is a unique idea that includes a flashing vest available in pink for the girls and blue for the boys, with fluorescent stickers that feature the Cheeky Chums characters to stick all over the flashing vest as they please. Also included is a Rambo Kids branded slap wrap to wrap around an arm or leg to really provide the visibility that will enhance safety when riding wherever and whatever time of the day.

About Horseware

Horseware Products Ltd. was established in 1985 by Tom and Carol MacGuinness as a result of Tom challenging himself to produce a horse blanket that was waterproof, breathable and did not move on the horse. From the outset, the company sought to develop a range of horse blankets which made life more comfortable for your horse and easier for you through major innovations in material and design. The company now employs 150 people at three manufacturing facilities in Dundalk Co. Louth and Kingscourt Co. Cavan, in Ireland and at North Carolina, USA. In early 1998 Horseware opened a distribution centre in Maitland, NSW, Australia.

Since the first Horseware blanket was made in 1984 the company has led the market in product innovation and design. In 1990 Horseware Ireland revolutionised the market by introducing the RAMBO Turnout, the first truly waterproof and breathable horse blanket that really worked, using hydrophilic coating technology called AquaTrans. The RAMBO Turnout also incorporated innovative features such as the use of tough ballistic grade nylon, no back seams, short cross surcingles and a guaranteed nonslip design. By 1996 the RAMBO Turnout had become the world's best selling Turnout and its classic design had become the industry standard. In 1997, Horseware again broke the mould introducing the RAMBO WUG, a dramatic new patented design which won Best Product Award at the British Equestrian Trade Fair and has gone on to take British and US markets by storm. In 1998 Horseware went one step further launching RAMBO WUG PLUS giving complete coverage from head to tail with a design concept which we believe will set the standards of the future.

Two Famous Brands - One Fantastic Company

For 25 Years, Triple Crown has produced the finest range of custom horse blankets in the world. Triple Crown has set the standard for quality material and workmanship that has earned them a special place in the hearts and tack rooms of American horsemen and women. In 1997, when Janet Munchak the owner and founder of Triple Crown decided to retire, she looked for a suitable company whom she could trust to continue the Triple Crown tradition. Horseware is honored to have been found worthy to carry on the Triple Crown legacy. Just as the Rambo brand is renowned world wide for its exceptional performance and durability, the Triple Crown range is acclaimed for its prestige and beauty. The fusion of these two great companies will afford an even greater choice to you and your horse than you ever thought possible.
