Horse Tack Press Release

Union City, CA – Ariat International was named, “Manufacturer of The Year Award” by The National Foundation Quarter Horse Association for excellence in product design. A survey was conducted among NFQHA staff, organization members and competition judges, with Ariat the clear favorite in both competition and recreational footwear.

Thirty-one riders were surveyed, of which 28 owned at least one pair of Ariat’s with more than 66 pairs owned among the group. “While attending horse shows, we sometimes gather around the horse trailer camps after the day’s events and inevitably the subject of boots comes up,” said Sam Summers, Editor in Chief of National Foundation Quarter Horse ssociation. “Ariat is always leading the discussion for its comfort and craftsmanship. I personally haven’t ever owned a pair of boots that is as comfortable after wearing them all day,” Mr. Summers concluded.

The formal survey was held in the later part of 2003. A current random survey is being conducted of in-coming callers at the NFQHA headquarters. Results will be posted later this spring.

“We are very pleased to be named the ‘Manufacturer of The Year’ by the National Foundation Quarter Horse Association,” said Beth Cross, Co-founder and President of Ariat International. “This award reflects our commitment to delivering the highest quality performance footwear for riders of all disciplines. The overwhelming response to our brand is a testament to our continued effort to provide the most technically advanced products in the marketplace,” Cross concluded.
