World Renowned Horse Gentler Monty Roberts Joins Up With Local Casper Wyoming Business
Horse Press Release
Monty Roberts, a world renowned horse gentler and the best selling author of The Man Who Listens to Horses, will demonstrate his violence-free horse training methods during an event in Casper Wyoming. The demonstration will be held at 7:30pm, July 6, July 6, 2004 at the Casper Events Center, 1 Events Drive, Casper, WY. To date, Roberts has raised over $1.6 million USD for charitable organizations.
Through his process, called Join-Up, Roberts achieves in 30 minutes what takes traditional horsemen an average of three weeks to accomplish. Without inflicting pain or fear, Roberts will persuade a raw horse to accept a saddle, bridle, and rider by creating a foundation of trust and understanding between man and horse. He will also work with at least three remedial horses--including buckers, kickers, biters, and bad loaders.
Roberts has gained worldwide recognition for successfully starting raw horses in a gentle, effective manner. In fact, over 200,000 people have attended his events in the past 18 months in Australia, Dubai, Germany, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
In April 2002, Roberts received a doctorate from the University of Zurich in Animal Behavior, and the following month, Roberts was invited by Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, to participate in her Golden Jubilee celebration at the Royal Windsor Park Horse Show. Roberts' knowledge extends beyond horses; in May 2002, he was awarded a certificate of recognition from the CIA for his contributions to the polygraph division.
Despite his busy schedule, Roberts published three best selling books: The Man Who Listens to Horses, Shy Boy, and Horse Sense for People. His latest release, From My Hands To Yours, is the definitive guide to violence-free horse training and includes a dictionary of EQUUS, the language of the horse.
