About Cashel Company

Frustrated by the lack of effective therapeutic saddle pads available at the time, Helen and Mel King started Cashel Company in 1986 and developed the unique and popular Cashel Cushion saddle pad. We bought Cashel in 1995 and began to add new products to the line, emphasizing items that increased the comfort and safety of horse and rider. With Cashel located on our horse farm in rural southwest Washington State, we personally supervise the manufacture of most of our products and take great pride in the innovative design and quality construction of each item.

All of our employees are active equestrians and participate in the design of our new products, which leads to lively discussions and creative innovations. We make a point of offering flexible work schedules for our staff, placing family (and 4-H and Pony Club activities!) first. We trade off days so that we can go on multi-day trail rides, shows or in July, get the hay in!

Many of our product ideas come from you. Let us know what product you would like to see us make and you can be our tester. Your comments and feedback are very important to us. As a lifelong horse enthusiast, I am grateful to be able to spend my time talking with others who share my passion for our equine friends.
