USDF Announces New Online Search and Improved Web Services for Horse Breeders

Dressage Press Release

The United States Dressage Federation (USDF) has released a new online horse search. Horse breeders can now access a complete report and print a portfolio of all USDF-registered horses whose records list them as the breeder. This new tool will provide a comprehensive breeder portfolio, complete with horse name, USDF number, foal date, breed, and sex.

Complete breeder portfolio data will provide a more accurate picture of U.S. breeding programs and the dressage horses being produced. "This information is vital to complete the picture of those horses competing in dressage sport horse breeding and performance classes and being tracked by USDF" stated Sally Davenport, Director of Competitions. "The information will be invaluable to the dressage community as leading breeders, sires, dams, and damsires are identified. This information will eventually be available to the public in a variety of reports."

Individual horse records are still available through the USDF horse registration search. USDF encourages owners and breeders to assist in supplying and correcting pedigree information by submitting breed papers when they register their horses or when they see errors or incomplete data in online search results. Owners and breeders may also send corrections via the Web site. To use the horse registration verification search, visit

USDF continues to improve its member services available on the Web site, by allowing direct access to current USDF data. These convenient services not only allow members to access the information when they need it, but they also allow members to view data that USDF has on file, inform the office of any errors, and assist USDF in ensuring the accuracy of its data.
