FEI World Reining Masters Series Standings Available
NRHA Press Release
The National Reining Horse Association is pleased to announce that FEI World Reining Masters Series' current standings are now available at www.nrha.com. Italy, Germany, Sweden, and the United States are all represented. Countries around the world are in the process of holding qualifying shows for the history making and much anticipated FEI World Reining Masters Finals, which are scheduled to take place Thursday, December 2, 2004, during the NRHA Futurity & World Championship Show at Oklahoma State Fair Park in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Finalists will be determined based on money earned in Concours de Reining Internationals (CRIs) organized by their respective countries. Each country that earned a final's berth in Reining's team competition at the 2002 World Equestrian Games in Jerez, Spain, may send two riders, while other countries can send one representative. The qualifying period ends on October 15, 2004. Those countries that are eligible to send two riders are the United States, Canada, Italy, Germany, and Great Britain.
Volker Schmitt and Steffen Breug top the German list. For Italy, Marco Ricotta and Dario Carmignani lead their country's standings while Richard Lemay and Waldemar Wass lead Sweden's standings. For the United States, Todd Sommers and Todd Crawford are the top two contenders.
