AQHYA World Championship Show to be held July 30-August 7

Amarillo, Texas, July 2004 – Youth from around the world will illuminate Fort Worth, Texas, for the AQHYA World Championship Show July 30 – August 7. It’s their "Time To Shine” during this pinnacle event for more than 30,000 AQHYA members. This year’s show has 1,959 entries, an increase from 2003, from around the world competing for 30 world championship titles. Youth members will be competing for world titles outside of the show ring in contests such as horse judging, horse bowl, talent, scrapbook and public speaking.

To qualify for the invitational event, exhibitors along with their horses must have earned a certain number of points in AQHA-approved shows from May 1, 2003 – April 30, 2004, or qualified through state affiliate requirements. Daily results will be posted on AQHA’s Web site. And, The American Quarter Horse Journal staff will be on site to report behind-the-scenes stories from the show. Be sure to visit daily to stay up to date on what’s going on in Fort Worth!

Highlights from the AQHYA World Championship Show are scheduled to air on AQHA’s weekly television show, “America’s Horse,” on the Outdoor Life Network, September 26 at 6:30 p.m. Eastern and again October 3 at 6 p.m. Eastern.
