Horse Clippers Press Release

Racine, WI (August 18, 2004) – Andis has added the AGC2 Super 2-Speed™ Clipper to its Endurance line of grooming products for horses. The line features clippers and trimmers that are specially designed for heavy use. The AGC2 Super 2-Speed™ Clipper includes an extra wide T-84 Blade to maximize the area clipped with every stroke and is engineered to maintain the power required for tough grooming jobs. The blade is detachable.

“When we talk with people who groom horses,” begins Fred Koeller, Vice President of Marketing at Andis, “Their complaint about many of the clippers is the size of the blade. We’ve developed an extra wide blade for our AGC2 Super 2-Speed™ Clipper to address this concern. With a wider blade, the clipper will simply get the grooming job done more efficiently.”

The AGC2 Super 2-Speed™ Clipper includes several features that help make grooming safer and easier. The drive cap on the AGC2 Super 2-Speed™ Clipper is removable, so the blade can be cleaned easily, and the blade hinge locks in place to keep the blade secure during use. A locking switch button ensures that the clipper will not shut off accidentally while it’s being used.

The clipper’s housing is break resistant to protect the internal parts, and it is manufactured to withstand the effects of harsh chemicals. The new shape of the clipper is ergonomically designed to lessen hand fatigue because of its smaller diameter that’s easier to hold. The motor is sealed to minimize noise and help it stay cool.

The AGC2 Super 2-Speed™ Clipper comes with a twenty-three minute video that features Dana Boyd-Miller, the premier horse groomer in the United States, who gives step-by-step instructions on proper grooming techniques. Both the clipper and the video are housed in a durable storage case.
