FireTracker is a unique product designed to provide an early warning system for fire in barns, stables and outbuildings. It will not eliminate property damage or loss of life, but it may provide you with the precious extra seconds to rescue livestock and horses. FireTracker is essentially a smoke detector designed to notify you in your home when fire is detected in your barn or outbuilding. It is easy to install and inexpensive.

How It Works

For years horse owners and livestock farmers have had a nagging fear that has never been addressed. It is the fear of barn fire not being detected until it is far too late. Traditional smoke detectors don't let occupants in the house know when smoke is detected, they are only any good when you are outside or in the barn. Exterior sirens improved that situation only slightly by extending the noise generated from an alarm to the yard. But what most horse owners and livestock owners want is to be awakened from a deep sleep to the first sign of trouble. If an alarm goes off in the barn they want to know about it in the house. The only way to that so far has been to have a separate phone line in the barn connected to a fire alarm panel that calls out on alarm. Obviously there is considerable expense involved in this. A dedicated phone line. An expensive alarm panel. Installation by a licensed fire alarm installer. All of these things work to drive the cost up considerably. You could also go to the trouble of hardwiring an alarm from the barn into a panel in the house. The cost and mess in this are very obvious as well. So we asked the questions - What if there was a way to let you know in the house in the middle of the night when there is smoke detected in the barn? What if we could do that without running new cable underground and incurring prohibitive construction costs? What if the signal could be sent to both a siren and the house and a telephone dialer? What if it could all be done for a few hundred dollars and a few hours of installation?

That's what we were asking when we came up with the idea for FireTracker.

The FireTracker system uses the existing power system on the property to send a signal from the barn to the house. It is not wireless and yet it doesn't need new wiring to be installed. It is CSA, ULC and UL approved for use in North America. It is easy to install. It is inexpensive. We believe that it answers the nagging fear in the minds of animal owners. FireTracker Products:

The Smoke Alarm System - The Smoke Alarm System is designed for barns, shops and outbuildings. Once installed, this system will sound a siren inside your when the Smoke Detector in the outbuilding is activated.

It is a stand alone alarm system, not part of a more expensive complicated system. The Smoke Alarm System comes with one Remote Siren Receiver. Additional Remote Siren Receivers are available for every room in the home. It is very easy to install.

The Phone Dialer - The telephone dialer will dial up to 4 numbers when the system is armed and activated. It is recommended that the dialer be installed at the same time as the system but it can be added later if necessary.
