Care and Management of Horses by Heather Smith Thomas
Horse Tack - Horse Books
Care & Management of Horses provides a common-sense approach to keeping a horse healthy, sound, comfortable, and happy. Intended for the serious horse person, the book emphasizes the whole horse — mental and physical — and encourages the owner to center horse-keeping practices around the horse’s needs.
Respected equine author Heather Smith Thomas discusses the horse in nature to help the reader understand what is natural or unnatural for a horse and the problems brought on by domestication. Other topics include practical horse handling, facilities of good horsemanship, feed and water, foot care, and seasonal care. Care & Management of Horses presents detailed information in a user-friendly format that helps the horse owner make educated decisions.
