Horse Press Release
Think you have what it takes to motivate a trainer, jockey and thoroughbred horse to win a race? Have you always dreamed of owning your own champion horse? AMERICAN DREAM DERBY, the first-ever reality series set in the world of thoroughbred horseracing, airing on GSN, has begun casting for 12 contestants who will enter the exclusive world of horse racing and vie to win the grand prize -- $250,000 in cash prizes and a thoroughbred race horse.
All interested potential candidates can log onto www.gsn.com to fill out and submit the application by October 8 for consideration. Since this is an extension to the audition deadline, those who have already submitted completed applications need not apply again.
Additionally, there will be an open casting call at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, California on October 2 for those in the Los Angeles area who are interested in applying in person. The casting call is from 10:30AM until 2:30PM and is located outside Santa Anita's South admission gate.
Premiering on Monday, January 10, AMERICAN DREAM DERBY will be set against the backdrop of Santa Anita Park in Southern California, one of the most beautiful tracks in the country. Contestants who are selected for the show will have a tremendous passion for the sport of horse racing, and a real desire to own horses. They will have the opportunity to experience first-hand what it means to own and care for a horse, to train for a race, and be exposed to the inner workings of one of America's oldest and most beloved sports.
