Schutz Brothers

In the late 1950's, Don Schutz hired school teacher and noted western artist, Fred Olds of Winona Lake, Indiana to paint a sign directing customers to Schutz Brothers. When Don declined to have his own image used, Mr. Olds did a self portrait that remains with us today. Mr. Olds went on to become the founding director of the Oklahoma Territorial Museum in Guthrie, Oklahoma. Don Schutz's passion for leather, horses and horse tack founded a legacy that continues today in the premium leather horse tack made by Schutz Brothers. Over 65 years in the making, Schutz Brothers, Inc. has refined the art of building horse tack. Combining the nation\'s top leathers, tanned and finished for the tough equine environment, with the highest grade threads and hardware, quality comes naturally to the Schutz family.
