Purchase: I bought this helmet from legacytack.com in July for $56.95 +$5 S&H as a replacement trail riding and schooling helmet. I had to wait a couple weeks for availability because the old model was being replaced with this particular one.

Likes: I love the look of this helmet and how light it is. The shape of the shell fits my head really well and the padding is very soft and moldable to my head making it feel like I am wearing nothing at all! It is cool and breathable in the heat and has been fine for the colder weather that we are coming into as well. I will probably wear a silk under it once the temps go down to freezing though.

Dislikes: The only thing I don't like about this helmet is the length of the chin strap, it is sooooo long. I have over a foot of extra strap I need to cut off because it is a little bulky all folded up under my chin and I can't fit the velcro chin padding on. Overall there isn't anything else that is an issue.

Quality: The construction of this helmet feels like it is built to last a rough ride. The quality of the straps and buckles feels good so far, no problems. It also seems easy to wash out with movable padding.

Summary: I would recommend this as a cheap but safe trail or schooling helmet. It is great in the heat with excellent ventilation to keep you riding cool.
