Purchase: I found this turnout sheet in the Dover catalog for about $90 on sale. A bargain for 1200 denier rip stop sheet of this quality. I read the reviews here and decided to buy it and I'm not sorry. My older horse had a full winter coat but I didn't want him to be cold and wet when the winter rains and wind started as his shelter can be minimal.
Likes: He shares a large paddock with 20 + horses and he is small but tough. He is the one most often with bites and kick wounds. I certainly had my doubts as to how a turnout sheet would hold up. He has worn this sheet now 24/7 for over a month and I'm amazed that it is in perfect shape and it fits him so well. He lays down and rolls in it and it is always in place when I check on him. He is a small Arab and it almost reaches his knees but that is no problem. It keeps him dry and comfortable which puts my mind at ease. I see no signs of rubbing or hair loss on his coat from this sheet.
Dislikes: It is a little large around the neck opening and a little long but that doesn't bother me-he is a small horse. I really have no complaints.
Quality: It seems very well made and I see no signs so far of any fatigue in the buckles, straps or stitching. I was worried that I would be able to adjust it to fit him properly but it was no problem.
Summary: I recommend this sheet and I will buy another one just like it when this one finally wears out. A great product at a very good price.
