Purchase: I bought my boots for $60 on sale from Adams Pet Supply.

Likes: They are warm and waterproof, to a point.

Dislikes: The boots are pretty bulky -- I had to resort to full chaps because the elastic of my half-chaps wouldn't fit without stretching out of shape, but that's not the fault of Mountain Horse. The real problems: (1) The vinyl coating that makes the nylon waterproof also ensures that the boots don't breathe, so I often found myself with damp, chilled toes. The stench that emanates from the resulting sweaty feet in wool socks is indescribable. :) (2) Partway through my second winter with the boots the nylon cracked across the top of the boot, letting water/snow leak inside. (3) The sole cracked beneath the ball of my foot on one boot as well. I'm pretty easy on my boots, so I was surprised to find them falling apart.

Quality: The vinyl fabric of my boots cracked, as did the sole of one boot.

Summary: Your feet will stay (mostly) warm and dry with the Rimfrost, but don't expect the boots to hold up well.
