Purchase: I bought a pair of these at Bits and Bridles for about $80 5 years ago. I had just started riding and needed a pair of boots that would last a long time.

Likes: I like how they have laces, I think it gives your ankle a little more support than the slip-on ones and you don't have to worry about a zipper breaking. Really good quality leather. After riding just about everyday for 5 years, the leather doesn't have any cracks or tears or anything. Cleans really easily. Just wipe it down with some saddle soap or a leather wipe and it looks good as new. There was no break-in period necessary. They were comfortable first time I wore them and I stand and walk around all day in them and they never hurt. The somewhat square toe gives your toes a little more room to move.

Dislikes: I don't really not like anything about them. One thing that did start to happen a few months ago is that the tread is coming off the bottom. It's not really a big deal, it's just a little harder to grip the stirrups now. And it's probably coming off because all the walking I have done on concrete and cement. And the laces did break once last year. But they were easy and cheap to replace so that's not a big deal either.

Quality: The leather is really nice and good quality. It's strong and the whole boot is very durable. My boots have gotten muddy and wet several times and after i wiped them down with a leather wipe they were perfect again. Also, they look like the expensive brands of boots too, so they are good for low-level showing or just schooling.

Summary: My boots have held up for 5 years of riding just about everyday and are still in very good shape. I expect to be wearing these boots for a very long time to come.
