Purchase: I bought this tack trunk to match the other barn girls, and plus because I needed more storage. I paid about $1000 ( my trainer got it on discount for us) and that included the trunk with stand and cover. They say you should receive the tack trunk n eight to ten weeks.
Likes: It truly is beautiful. We had the brass fitting with hunter green and tan and it is wonderful to look at.
Dislikes: My main problem is more so with the company not the trunk. I received the trunk in twelve weeks as opposed to the eight to ten I was told. I received the trunk (after waiting so long) and it had a large dent in the lid. When we called the company they said that we would have to take off the lid ourselves and send it back to them, for another four weeks, but only after they had put in the claim. They said they would let us know when to send this, all while not giving me any money refunded. It has still been four weeks and not only have we not heard from the company, but they advised me not to use the trunk in case they needed to file suit, and they didn't want the dent being confused with daily use.
Quality: Overall the quality is very good. Aside from some stress point that are visible from the tight screws there is nothing wrong with the piece, of course aside from the dent.
Summary: All in all, I cannot stand the company. They must think that because we get the trunks at discount that aren't their top priority. I have been telling many of my friends to look to McGuinn tack trunks instead of Oakcroft.
