Purchase: I got this saddle from an online tack swap for about $300. I was looking for an economical trail saddle and the saddle looked like it would work for me. The lady who sold it to me was under the impression that it was a different make of saddle. I won't say she lied to me as I don't know that for sure, but the saddle was worth less new than I paid for it new.

Likes: It looked like a decent saddle from the pictures. The styling is the "Tucker type", with an endurance saddle look. With the flex tree in semi-QH bars, I was hopeful that it would fit my horse. That's about it, though. It looked good, but I didn't like anything else about it. The only other thing I liked is that I got $250 for it as a re-sale. I was happy to get rid of it.

Dislikes: AWFUL SADDLE! It fit my horse okay. Not great, just okay. She wasn't going to buck me off, but the fit wasn't good enough to do more than light riding. As for fitting me, IT HURT! There were two ridges of the tree that dug into my thighs very painfully. I only rode for about 15 minutes before I was too uncomfortable to continue. I bought a saddle seat saver in hopes of correcting this problem, but it didn't help at all. The saddle was so uncomfortable that I only rode in it twice before I buried it in the tack room as money wasted. I have no idea why the person who bought it from me wanted it. She rode in it, and still paid me for it. I was just happy to have it gone.

Quality: Quality was not great. Up close it looked mostly glued together. It's part synthetic, part leather, with cheap fleece glued to the panels. The cordura was decent quality and the leather wasn't too bad, but not top-of-the-line. The actual pieces seemed to be decently made, but the overall construction was poor. I wouldn't trust the saddle to stand up to hard usage.

Summary: Don't buy a King saddle. They look great in pictures, but save your money for something better. Not worth it at all.
