Purchase: I bought this saddle from a fellow boarder for $125. She sold it because she prefers her leather saddle.
Likes: I love the light weight. I love the low maintenance. It is very comfortable for me. It is a nice looking saddle for a synthetic. I like the microsuede seat.
Dislikes: I suspected it was a little narrow at the front; the front of the tree has no flare at the horse's shoulder so can tend to sit slightly too tight. Also it has a slight downhill angle to it. If you have a pad that compensates for the downhill angle, that might help. But trying to pad an already too narrow tree will make your horse uncomfortable (give him even less room) so be careful about that. I bought a saddle that fits my horse better and use this one for short rides, riding in water, or when my kids ride (they weigh less and the stirrups go shorter than with my other saddle).
Quality: the construction and quality seem to be up to par. There is one slight scratch in the fender that was there before I bought it, so I can't say how it happened. I've owned mine for over a year and it looks no worse for the wear. I've rated it a four; would have been a five if not for the fit issues, but these may change from horse to horse perhaps.
Summary: Try it on your horse before you buy it to be sure it will sit level (not downhill, ie the lowest part of the seat ought to be more to the rear, not the front, of the seat). Also be sure it's not too narrow for your horse to be able to move his shoulders. Check out Dave Genadek's site for more saddle fit info.
