Purchase: After comparing this pad to a comparable Diamond Wool pad, I purchased this pad at Stagecoach West, Equine Affaire, Springfield MA, for just over $100. As a New Englander, I was reluctant not to buy the RI-made Diamond pad but, after a side by side comparison, I felt the Bar-J was a better product for the price. It is Made in the USA.

Likes: Excellent construction and quality overall at a fair price.

Dislikes: No color choice. I guess one gets what comes out of the carding mill. Mine is sort of greyish-brown.

Quality: Super tight heavy wool felt, tight stitching, heavy leather details, center split along the topline, and contoured for wither relief. Attractive metal makers emblem on rear corner left side. Excellent quality, made to last.

Summary: Highly recommended.
