Purchase: I bought them through ebay for about $80. They were in brand new condition. I bought them because I needed new show quality ankle boots for my jumper.
Likes: These are the leather style which help encourage a horse to pick up their hind legs better. They fit beautifully (no rubs at all) and do seem to help my gelding's action over fences. The thinline material is very easy to clean and these boots (I had them dyed black) look amazing paired up with black equifit open front boots. I love love love these boots!
Dislikes: Not a thing.
Quality: Very solid stitching throughout, The thinline material is easy to care for, the leather is beautiful and the tab closures are reinforced with plastic for longevity. The elastic is strong with just enough give and hasn't stretched out with repeated use.
Summary: This style should not be used every day, but rather as a training tool or to give that extra edge at shows. For me, these are absolutely perfect for showing and the occasional lesson. Too bad thinline doesn't manufacture them anymore!
