Likes: I love the material on the seat and knee pads, it's hard to slide around on but very easy to lift off of for a forward seat. I also love the quik-change. It actually is extremely easy, you just have to be sure to line up the points on the bolt before applying any pressure. It takes me about 2 minutes to effortlessly change from a wide to a medium and back again. I also love that the stirrup bar is close to the saddle, it helps with bulk under my thigh and is surprisingly easy to slide real leathers on and off when not on the horse. The panels are very well cushioned and they have never made a horse sore.

Dislikes: I absolutely hate the knee blocks. They are tiny. If they were double the size, I'd feel better about using it for xc but until then, it's a good beginners jumping saddle. It's also not as forward as I'd like. My knee stays on the saddle, but it's pretty close when I shorten my stirrups to jump. The billet straps are great quality wise, you'll never be afraid of them breaking. But my god, they are unsightly.

Quality: The quality FAR surpasses any synthetic saddle on the market. It's the same kind of quality you'd expect from a $3000+ leather saddle, so at this price point, it's better than most used leather saddles under $1000 in my opinion, considering it will always look brand new and never wear thin. I've owned and ridden continuously in mine for a year now and it looks brand spanking new.

Summary: All in all, the problems I have with it are easily fixed with a saddle worker making new billets and bigger knee blocks, so really it's perfect. I miss cleaning leather, but when I don't have the time for it after a sweaty ride, it's so great to just hose off the sweat and not worry about it. Tekna recently came out with a leather saddle design that looks significantly improved, so if synthetic doesn't do it for you, the letek (?) would beat any adjustable saddle on the market given how the synthetic version a held up to abuse. I'd buy this saddle again in an instant and recommend it for anyone as a great schooling/training saddle.
