Purchase: Bought this helmet at the local tack shop for around $100. I had a credit and needed a new helmet, and decided on this one.

Likes: I like the fit of the helmet, works well for my head, which the ever so popular GPA's don't. I liked the velvet, and the soft leather harness. Also liked the new clasp. I had an older Troxel GP and the clasp would come unbuckled on its own.

Dislikes: I don't like how the harness will loosen on occasion. It makes me worry a little now and then, and I find it distracting when I ride.

Quality: Well made helmet, I like the "hidden" vents, pretty gold lining, and it feels like I have a helmet up there. I really don't like the sport helmets, I just don't feel as safe. The velvet is nice, I rode in the rain and it held up nicely and didn't get all matted down like some will. I've had it almost all summer and it still looks new.

Summary: I would buy this helmet again, mushroom head and all. It fits, and is comfortable, which is very important in a helmet! I think the harness becoming loose is specific to my helmet, because friends have not had a problem with it. I am hoping that Troxel will fix it though, just haven't gotten around to contacting them.
