Purchase: I purchased this vitamin at Metcalf's in Cornish ME because my farrier highly recommended it for the help it would give my mares hoofs. I paid $20.99 for a five pound container.
Likes: When I purchased my mare she was under weight and had sore feet with quarter cracks, flares soft soles no heels and long toes. Not only were her feet in trouble she was under weight , her hips stuck up and her body caved in just after the ribs before the hip. Her coat was coarse and dry.
Regular professional hoof care and ACCEL vitamin has made a world of difference in my mares feet. The ACCEL vitamin supplied the needed nutrients for the hoof to grow healthy (and I would say faster) therefore allowing the farrier to trim and properly maintain the new hoof.. Today, 2.5 years later her feet are healthy and sound. I give my farrier A++ for his work and a big THANK YOU for recommending ACCEL vitamin.
It took about six months worth of ACCEL vitamins before I noticed subtle changes in her, like the changing in coat texture texture, the coarse dry hair was becoming soft and shiny and her tail was growing, a pleasant surprise since it was docked before I owned her and barely covered her butt. This gives her more natural fly protection and I am happy for that. Also since the use of ACCEL vitamin she has more evenly distributed weight. Just in front of her hips no longer sinks in and her flat rump is now shapely.
Dislikes: Because ACCEL vitamin is granulated powder like it does not stick to feed and falls to the bottom of the feed dish. Good thing my mare likes it enough to lick it off the bottom.

Summary: I bought ACCEL vitamin to help heal my mares hoofs and was /am extremely happy with the results not only did it do just that it has helped in her overall health and I will continue to use ACCEL as long as I own a horse.
