Purchase: I purchased a 32oz bottle of Gordon's Horse & Pony spray from Big R for $23.95. I have four horses and all of them were being eaten up by flies and the water-based fly spray was not working.
Likes: The product worked very well on controlling the flies.
Dislikes: However, my eldest horse broke out in hives all over her body. The other three horses had mild reactions to the spray, which could have resulted from my putting too much spray on them.
I am about to go out and wash my horse that reacted so badly to the product. I came in the house to see if others had the same problem and see what they did to help their horse. I saw another review where someone else had the same problem, including hair loss.
Quality: The bottle was shaped with a wide base and did not tip over while I was using it. The spray itself is very oily and difficult to wash off of your body, hands, and clothing.
Summary: I think this product should not be on the market, or at the very least should have strong warnings to test the product 24 and 48 hours in advance of using it.
