Purchase: Many of my friends had these winter riding boots and said they were fabulous. So I had to try them too as I hate riding in the winter with big clumpy barn boots. I looked around for the best price and found it at Dan Patch in Dundas, Ontario during one of their 'yard sales'. I paid around $88 plus tax. That's the best price I've ever seen for them.

Likes: These boots are tall and black giving a sleek look to ones' winter get-up. They are well made with strong zippers, good stitching and all around good material. They are very comfortable and warm and great for trekking on foot on the trails or just around the barn and of course for riding. If they don't have manure on them I even will wear them to the grocery store without batting an eyelash. They are comfy when riding and fit in my normal sized stirrups unlike other winter footwear that I have. It would be -15'C. and I could still ride without my feet going numb!

Dislikes: There is nothing not to like. I'd love to buy another pair just for 'going out'.

Quality: Very well made, good quality zippers, velcro fasteners, and material. Good stitching. The boot is flexible through the ankle to prevent soreness in your legs. They have heat insulating inner socks in waterproof air permeable Thermolite. They are waterproof from below the seam of the zipper to the ground. There is comfy foam insulation in the leg to keep you warm and there are removable insoles. There is also the 'stirrup control system' made into the sole. The soles were good for walking on ice too.

Summary: These are a great pair of winter riding boots for wearing to the stable and when riding. When temperatures really dip, add a pair of wool socks and happy trails!
