Purchase: I bought it at Hitching Post for about $45-50 (something like that.

Likes: I like the fact that I had no idea what size girth to get my big-barreled mare and it still fit. I eyeballed her at 48-50, but went with a 52 so it would fit other horses. The girth is buckled with three holes below on each side. My saddle has never slipped even though the mare is an occasional blower.

Dislikes: The material is evil!!!!!! It does not look/feel stretchy like they say, but I guess it is. I had to sit in the laundry room and scrape dried sweat out of the waffle weave after running it under hot water. Should have spent five bucks on a stupid girth sock.

Quality: It looks indestructible--we will see.

Summary: Every lesson horse I ever rode was girthy. Supposedly, my mare was one but with this girth, she barely glares, let alone pinning her ears and teeth-baring. The cutouts don't pinch her elbows so I don't have to pull her legs--which she is fine with. Her mantra is "LET'S NOT WASTE TIME!!!!!!" She paws and snorts and doesn't mind being girthed.
