Purchase: I acquired this brand-new saddle pad from Equiteric, a seller on e-bay, by having the winning bid of $20. I needed a riser pad because my senior Thoroughbred/Trakehner cross has very prominent withers and a broad back and none of my three saddles fits him properly without a pad of some kind.

Likes: I love the way this riser pad fits into the channel of the saddle and raises the cantle to a nice height that allows proper position in the saddle. The pad is not at all bulky and does not interfere with ones "feel" in the saddle.

Dislikes: I really can't think of anything I dislike about this pad. It does what it's designed to do in a way that's comfortable for horse and rider.

Quality: The pad is lightweight molded foam with ventilation holes and seems comfortable for the horse. The flared design in front allows freedom of movement for the shoulder. It seems quite durable and well-made, especially considering the price.

Summary: I am delighted with this pad. It is the perfect solution for getting a saddle to "level out" on my high-withered, older horse.
