Purchase: I somehow became addicted to the Tail Tamer products a while back. So when I saw these at my local tack shop I had to give them a try them since I needed some bands anyway. It was a while back, but I paid around $3 for a pack of 400. My bratty pony at the time was a grey so I grabbed the grey pack to match him. They also have every other practical color and a mixed bag of multi-colored ones for fun.
Likes: I thought these were really nice. The bands themselves are nicer looking than other bands, somewhat shiny and well slick in texture. They are really stretchy too! Oh and you cant forget the really handy zippered storage bag that they come in. I've also had these laying in my groom box for about 3 years now and they are in the same condition as when I bought them.
Also, if my own hairbands break while I'm at the barn, these are the first things I go for!
Dislikes: Honestly, I've found nothing to dislike.
Quality: The quality is fantastic. Easy to use. Easy to store in your groom box. Someone else mentioned in their review that they had a lot of breakage problems, yet I have had none and found them to be quite stretchy and flexible. They also maintain their strength in both hot and cold weather. I braided with these for my first dressage show, and they never slipped once throughout the day. I've also found that they can be re-used, if you can get them off in one piece they bounce right back to their original size and strength!
Summary: I love this product. I need to get more of them. I now have a bay so I need some black bands. I can't see why I'd by any other kind, these really are great!
