Category: Training Equipment
Purchase: I bought this off of a friend for $60. She tried in on one of her colts but didn't like it.
Likes: I like to use a hackamore in the beginning of a horse's training. It provides a firmness under pressure and softness upon release. I prefer a hackamore over a bosal due to a bosal (normally made from rope) has a tendency to rub especially on a horse who has a tendency to fight with you.
Dislikes: This isn't my usual brand to use, but I haven't any complaints.
Quality: This model has a steel leather-covered noseband and comes with an adjustable stainless steel curb chain. It's a stainless steel.
Summary: i began using the hackamore after rescueing a horse that had been abused by his former owner. As he was deathly afraid to take a bit, I tried a hackamore. He responded very well, so I began using it when training new horses.
