Purchase: The first pair I got at a local tack store in Stephenville Tx. Paid around $70 a pair for them. This was when they first came out around 2000.
Likes: They are thin, easy to put on, stay put, and light weight. I've been training barrel horses for around 30 years, and I have used every brand of boot there is available, including Bar f, prof choice, ortho equine, pro equine, etc... These are by far the toughest boots there is available on the market today. I still have the first 2 pairs I bought, 7 yrs ago, and they still perform like the new ones I have bought. I'm happy with the wide variety of colors available.
Dislikes: There is nothing I dislike about these boots. Worth every penny. And the price has come down since I got my first pair.
Quality: The kevlar skid plate, is absolutely wonderful. The sling that totally encloses the ankles, the middle lining, and inner material are all first quality. I just take mine to the car wash once a month and spray them into brand new condition. These boots may be on 10 horses a day, every day, and I haven't killed them yet!
Summary: There is no other brand of boots as far as I'm concerned. Put your hand inside the boot, and then hit it with a hammer... then try it on the competitors boots... you'll feel the difference the horse does...
