Purchase: I needed new schooling boots because my old ones finally died on me, and the ones I wore before lasted 15 years. I decided to reinvest in another pair, which cost me $320.

Likes: These are total custom fit boots. It took about six weeks to receive them after I sent my order, and after I put them on and wore them ~10 minutes, they felt like I had worn them for years. They were that perfect. There is NO break in with these boots unlike my new Petrie show boots because the leather is sooo soft and they are of course custom fit guaranteed. Now for the cool part: these boots have the same shape and design as the boots used by the Spanish Riding School, but just a bit shorter. They offer full knee protection and a roomy toe.

Dislikes: There is nothing I dislike about these boots. Unfortunately CRS does not have any email or telephone to speak to a person. All of their business is through the mail or fax, but if you write a letter or fax it to them, they quickly respond back. It's just a convenience thing.

Quality: I owned a pair of these up until this summer for 15 years, and they kept up wonderfully until I literally wore them out. I had resoled my old ones only once, and when I tried to do this again this summer, my local cobbler said to just buy new ones. I fully expect these new ones to have a similar lifespan.

Summary: I absolutely love these boots. People at my stable ask about them, and it's fun to talk about them. When you mention the price compared with other custom makers, I love them that much more. I put this review here because of the Spanish Riding School comment above, but Western riders could also wear these proudly.
