Purchase: After searching and searching, I finally found these for around $90 on ebay. I was pretty impressed as these normally retail for around $190. I pounced on the deal and never looked back.

Likes: The leather is top notch. These are definitely the top of the line---quality, price, and appearance. With paddock boots (I was able to get the matching tredstep paddock boots for 85% off on clearance at my local tack shop) they give the appearance of tall boots. The stretch leather also makes it contour to the shape of you leg, and it molds with your muscles when riding. VERY stylish!

Dislikes: They are kind of hard to get on for two reasons. One: they run EXTREMELY small. Order AT LEAST one size larger than normal. My calf measures around 13.5" inches so I thought that the 14/17 would fit. Got them, tried them on---uh-oh, I am sweating and loosing my breath trying to get them on--actually getting tired. Darn. Now I have to try to sell these to get a 15/17. Second reason they are slightly hard to get on: The zipper in the back, like tall boots. It makes it a little harder to put on, but I hate the look of a zipper on the side, so I don't mind. I think it looks a lot sleeker. Plus, if you are used to zip-up tall boots, you are fine.

Quality: The leather is top notch. There is stretch leather on the outside, and thick durable leather (I think calfskin) on the inside. These are definitely the type of chaps to buy if you are going to be riding multiple horses everyday. The stitching is thick and tight and made to last....all in all, you get what you pay for, and you get great quality.

Summary: Bottom line, these are awesome, stylish, and would be comfortable if they fit---not tredsteps fault---my fault for not trying a pair on before ordering. These are amazing quality, just remember they run SMALL! If you measure around a 14 or 14.5 with breeches, you may want to get a 15 or 16" calf.
