Purchase: I purchased this blanket online from Schneider's website, SSTack.com, in January of 07. The normal price is $114.95, but the price goes down as the season goes by. I paid $110.95.
Likes: Everything. It is durable, well-made, and attractive. The surcingles STAY PUT--I see a lot of blankets where the "T" part of the buckle bends, causing the surcingle to become undone. That doesn't happen with this blanket. My blanket is brown (sadly, they don't offer it in that color anymore), which is great. Initially, I balked at the idea of a brown blanket, but it's very attractive and looks great on my horse. I was very pleased to get a 1680 denier blanket for such a good price. My gelding loves to play, and I wanted to get the toughest blanket I could find. I picked this blanket out months before I actually bought it, and it's everything I wanted it to be.
Dislikes: Nothing, really, If I could change anything, might make the front closure a snap system, rather than buckles, but that is incredibly minor. Also, the blanket does need the leg straps to stay centered--but again, very very minor. It comes with leg straps, all you have to do is put them on. Not a problem.
Quality: Very well-made. It's been in use for essentially a full season (half of last year and half of this), and it doesn't have so much as a loose stitch. I was concerned about my rough-playing gelding destroying it, but he hasn't managed to do so--even when his friends grab the tail flap and pull. This blanket comes with a 2-year guarantee, so even if he does, I'm still covered.
Summary: I love this blanket, times infinity. I can't recommend it enough!
